CREST Sponsors “The Journey of La Tortuga” Presented by The PPEP Foundation

Tucson, AZ – Fifty years ago, in 1967, Dr. John David Arnold founded Portable Practical Educational Preparation, Inc. (PPEP) with the mission to improve the quality of rural life. He was aboard a 1957 Chevy bus named “La Tortuga (tortoise)” with a $19,000 grant from the Tucson Committee for Economic Opportunity at the time. In honor of its inception, PPEP’S 50th Anniversary Celebration is “The Journey of La Tortuga”.

The evening of August 26th at the Tucson Convention Center will consist of dinner, entertainment, and our Keynote Speaker Jessica Cox, Motivational Speaker and Goodwill Ambassador, as well as, our Honoree Speaker Claudia Pavlovich Governor of Sonora, Mexico. CREST is delighted to sponsor this worthy event; proceeds will support The PPEP Foundation Scholarship Fund. Purchase tickets at ppep.org.
